About

Arloa J. Walter

I have many years of experience working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Geriatric Care Manager. In the course of my career, I have worked with seniors in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, a senior center in Adult Day Care, and with the Linkages Program in San Mateo County as a Case Manager. I also had my own business as a Geriatric Care Manager, volunteered in the Ombudsman program, interned during graduate study at the Veteran’s Administration in Menlo Park, Meals on Wheels in San Francisco, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program in Menlo Park, and the Coastside Mental Health in Half Moon Bay, Calif. I earned a bachelor of science degree in behavioral science at Notre Dame De Namur University in Belmont, Calif., and my masters degree in social welfare at the University of California at Berkeley. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. Since retirement I’ve been interacting with the older population or older women in many different groups, classes, volunteer settings and through one-to-one interviews.
